Bud Stewart (Edward Perry Stewart) was born on June 15, 1916 in Sacramento, California. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1941 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1941, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 0 home runs and 10 RBI. Stewart played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Bud Stewart's best season was 1948, when he hit for a .278 average and knocked in 69 runs.
