Bud Metheny (Arthur Beauregard Metheny) was born on June 1, 1915 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 27, 1943 for the New York Yankees. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 9 home runs and 36 RBI. Metheny played for the New York Yankees for his entire 3 year career.
