Born on December 7, 1895 in Merry Point, Virginia, Bud Davis (John Wilbur Davis) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 1 year career. Davis broke into the bigs on April 19, 1915 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 4.05 ERA in 66.2 innings pitched in 1915, his rookie year.
