Born on August 2, 1881 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, Bucky Veil (Frederick William Veil) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career. Veil broke into the bigs on April 19, 1903 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.82 ERA in 70.2 innings pitched in 1903, his rookie year.
