Buck Lansford (Alex John Lansford) was born on November 4, 1933 in Catarina, Texas. After going to high school at Carrizo Springs (TX), Lansford attended the University of Texas. Lansford made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1957 was Buck Lansford's best year.
