Buck Jordan (Baxter Byerly Jordan) was born on January 16, 1907 in Cooleemee, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 15, 1927 for the New York Giants. In 1932, his rookie year, he hit .321 with 2 home runs and 29 RBI. Jordan played for the New York Giants, Washington Senators, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 9 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Buck Jordan's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1936, when he hit for a .323 average and knocked in 66 runs. However, others believe that it was 1933, when he hit for a .286 average.
