Bubber Jonnard (Clarence James Jonnard) was born on November 23, 1897 in Nashville, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on October 1, 1920 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .294 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. Jonnard played for the Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Bubber Jonnard's best season was 1927, when he hit for a .294 average.
