Bubba Smith (Charles Aaron Smith) was born on February 28, 1945 in Orange, Texas. After going to high school at Pollard (Beaumont, TX), Smith attended Michigan State University. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts, Houston Oilers and Oakland Raiders over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Bubba Smith's best year.
