Born on August 11, 1955 in Marietta, Georgia, Bryn Smith (Bryn Nelson Smith) played for the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 13 year career. Smith broke into the bigs on September 8, 1981 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 4.20 ERA in 79.1 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bryn Smith's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.91 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 127 batters.
