Born on November 17, 1943 in Oakland, California, Bruce Von Hoff (Bruce Frederick Von Hoff) played for the Houston Astros for his entire 2 year career. Von Hoff broke into the bigs on September 28, 1965 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 4.83 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched in 1967, his rookie year.
