Bruce Maher (Bruce David Maher) was born on July 25, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at University (Detroit. MI), Maher attended the University of Detroit Mercy. Maher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and New York Giants over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Bruce Maher's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
