Bruce Jankowski (Bruce D. Jankowski) was born on August 12, 1949 in Paterson, New Jersey. After going to high school at Fairlawn (NJ), Jankowski attended Ohio State University. Jankowski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1972 was Bruce Jankowski's best year.
