[edit] Biography

Born on June 15, 1942 in California, Pennsylvania, Bruce Dal Canton (John Bruce Dal Canton) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 11 year career. Dal Canton broke into the bigs on September 3, 1967 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.34 ERA in 86.1 innings pitched in 1969, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Bruce Dal Canton's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1969, when he posted a 3.34 ERA and struck out 56 batters. However, others believe that it was 1972, when he posted a 3.40 ERA and struck out 75 batters.
