Bruce Campbell (Bruce Douglas Campbell) was born on October 20, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1930 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1932, his rookie year, he hit .283 with 14 home runs and 87 RBI. Campbell played for the Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and Washington Senators over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Bruce Campbell's best season was 1933, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .277 average and knocked in 106 runs.
