Born on June 8, 1959 in Houston, Texas, Britt Burns (Robert Britt Burns) played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 8 year career. Burns broke into the bigs on August 5, 1978 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 2.84 ERA in 238 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Britt Burns's best season was 1985, when he posted a 3.96 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 172 batters.
