After the first quarter, the Roughriders led the Lions 8 - 7. Saskatchewan kicker, Luca Congi had two field goals. B.C. scored a touchdown and gave up a safety.
B.C. did the only scoring in the second quarter, thanks to kicker Rob Pikula for a field goal and the single given up by Saskatchewan on a Pikula punt. Score Lions 11 - Roughriders 8.
The third quarter was a carbon copy of the second for the Lions. The Roughriders managed to get a field goal of it's own in the third, to put the score at Lions 15 - Roughriders 11.
B.C. started off the quarter by driving down the field, but Pikula missed a 30 yard field goal and took the single. Saskatchewan came back on the next drive to score the first touchdown of the game. B.C. drove down the field again, to score their own touchdown and had a two point conversion. The Lions, however, lost their top two receivers on the series, Paris Jackson (shoulder) and Tony Simmons (knee). On the next series, Saskatchewan drove the field to score another touchdown. On the following series, Saskatchewan intercepted a wild deflection to score a third touchdown of the quarter. The Lions tried to come back and even put their second-year quarterback, Jarious Jackson, into the game to throw the long ball. Unfortunately, the receiver pushed off and also dropped the pass.
Final stats for the game:
British Columbia Lions QB Dave Dickenson went 29 of 43 for 279 yards, with two touchdowns and two picks. Dickenson was also the leading rusher with 5 rushes for 38 yards. Geroy Simon led the receivers with 8 receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Pikula went 2/3 on field goals and 1/1 on extra points.
Saskatchewan Roughriders QB Kerry Joseph went 19 of 31 for 211 yards and two touchdowns. He was also the leading rusher with 11 rushes for 92 yards. Jamal Richardson led the receivers with 5 receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Congi was 3/3 on field goals and 3/3 on extra points.
