A lot of discussion on if Beckham will be able to popularize soccer in the USA- I actually couldn't care less if it ever does become popular here- in fact I don't know why everyone else cares so much.
Then 2 nights ago I saw this commerical-
Now this is how you can popularize soccer in the USA. Just like beach volleyball will never become popular by men playing, just like tennis won't become hugely popular by men, soccer in the USA will NOT become popular due to a man-- women can make this sport popular.
So let's end this bullshit talk about Beckham- no one cares. Americans are pigs, we love sex, sex sells--- if you want soccer to be popular sell the sex- sorry but that's reality.
Remember way way back in what 1999?? or whatever when the womens soccer team became popular for the World Cup? Women get the USA excited about soccer.
What do people think??? Can men (a man) get americans excited about soccer or will it take women to do it??
Lastly- what about football!!!! Go BEARS!!!
