Biography
Brian Roberts (Brian Michael Roberts) was born on October 9, 1977 in Durham, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on June 14, 2001 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 2001, his rookie year, he hit .253 with 2 home runs and 17 RBI. Roberts played for the Baltimore Orioles for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that Brian Roberts's best season was 2005, when he slugged 18 home runs, stole 27 bases, hit for a .314 average and knocked in 73 runs.
Roberts was also one of the players mentioned in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, in 2004, Roberts confided in teammate Larry Bigbie that he had tried steroids once or twice in 2003. Roberts also declined to speak with investigators in the Mitchell Report.
