Brett Favre Should Kick Tom Brady's Ass

The cinema of the NFL QB situation reminds me of when Rocky fought the Russian. Against all odds, against all belief, against the world, Rocky beat down that Russian and killed him to a bloody pulp. Down with the Russians, Rocky killed them all. Rocky rules. Brett Favre rules. Russian Brady blows.

It's really a shame that Tom Brady will probably get the honors of MVP for this year. If he does I feel like a great injustice has occurred. I hate Tom Brady- Brady blows ball.

This Tuesday, Dec 4, 2007 Green Bay Packers quarterback and future Hall of Famer Brett Favre was chosen as the 2007 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year. The award, is honored to the athlete who "best symbolizes in character and performance the ideals of sportsmanship", and was announced by SI group editor Terry McDonell.

""Brett is a great winner, but this award recognizes much more than winning," said McDonell. "It recognizes performance off the field equally and celebrates the love of the game. Brett is having an astounding year on every level."

One man, named IlliniEd wrote today that he felt like Tom Brady deserved the honor of MVP for this year.

"When you are talking top tier QBs, a lot of them can replace each other with out a loss. And your right Keith, TDs don't mean everything and sometimes there is more to that. But sometimes when someone is having an ungodly year that has never been seen before, you gotta give the guy props. I mean for Christ's sake, he is on pace for almost 55 TDs and 7 interceptions. That is unheard of even in the best of years. Any other year I think Favre would be the winner, but sometimes the numbers trump it all. " isn't this stupid?

Ungodly year???? Tom Brady is NOT A GOD-- He's not a machine. He bleeds just like you and me. When you kick him in the nuts he will go down. Tom Brady is human. And to be human is to error. I hate Tom Brady.

So why Favre???? Why not Favre!!!! Favre is the winningest quarterback of all time and the NFL's leader in touchdown passes. He has started 249 consecutive games, the longest streak ever by an NFL quarterback. This season, his 16th in Green Bay, he tied Bart Starr for most seasons in a Packers uniform. He also broke Dan Marino's career records for touchdown passes and pass attempts on his way to leading the Packers to an NFC North division lead with a record of 10-2. He has awoken a bullshit terrible team and will lead them to the superbowl. Plus Wisconsin has great cheese! It's really really freakin good.

So Jam-Jam agrees, SI agrees, do you agree? BRETT FAVRE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Favre's a great sportsman who couldn't bother helping out his backup QB Aaron Rodgers for two seasons, gave him the cold shoulder and reportedly acting like a first class dick. Sports Illustrated is clueless when it comes to this kind of crap. Yeah, Tiger Woods is a great sportsman. What the hell has he ever done that was demonstrated sportsmanship besides cashing all those checks and pouting whenever he didn't beat some old white guy in a golf tournament.

JFC, this is so Favre off the mark!

First of all, Brett Favre is an indisputable American hero. He is Superman without a cape but made Wrangler jeans fashionable and hip to every poor slob watching the age digits hit 40. It is blasphemy to speak out against #4.

Second, Woods should be commended for lending his name in support of all walks of life. Learn more here: http://www.twfound.org/

SI is a fluff magazine about major sports with blurbs about other less popular sports. (Some good writing and insight) Check out Field and Stream for real sportsmen.(my thought when I hear the word) No doubt, Favre can put himself in a bad light...i.e. Something like, get Randy Moss or trade me. I wonder if Marino was a guiding light to ?(Insert successor here) but I doubt it. To generalize, greatness equalls "first class dick", it almost has to for any one individual to accomplish great feats. It will always be how you are presented in the media or how you conduct yourself in that limelight. I've NEVER seen other QB's helped up off the turf after being leveled by their opponent (almost apologetically) the way Favre is. Other footbal players seem to worship the guy. PLAYERS AT EVERY POSITION! Seriously, Warden, what is Favre supposed to do with his successor, hold his hand and teach him what QB mechanics? Reportedly doesn't mean actually. There is a reason Brett Farve has one Super Bowl ring, because Bill Parcells was already thinking about his next job. Look at the history and you'll realize this is the truth. I like Farve, but man can we stop slobbering all over his junk? He's great, he's HOF, but he's not the best ever. Not even in the top 5. Be honest and you know I am right.

Reportedly, Bill Parcells never really cared about getting to let alone winning that Superbowl. Not to mention he wouldn't have wanted to be the first coach to win Superbowls with two different teams. That MUST be it. I agree, Favre's "junk" gets slobbered over, and over (see: John Madden, etc.) but come on. Who are in the top 5, if not Favre? Brady and Manning don't even count yet because they're in the middle of their careers. One play, and done. Ask Theisman. Then you become another QB that had he not gotten injured could've/would've been the greatest.

Mojodog, Rumors of the tampering that lead to Parcells going to the Jets, surfaced the week before the super bowl and were the type of distraction that cannot be ignored, especially when the coach isn't trying to win the game, because the rumors were true. Farve would be in the HOF regardless, just like Marino and Kelly. But the drool for Farve coming off Peter King's mouth would not stretch all the way to feet.

Distractions about your coach shouldn't translate into letting Brett Favre throw three touchdown passes and run for another, letting Desmond Howard return a kick 99 yards, and letting Reggie White get three sacks. Green Bay was clearly a superior team regardless of distractions. They blew out both San Francisco and Carolina on their way to the Bowl and thoroughly dominated the Pats in the Bowl. How can you even argue this fact?

I believ the margin of victory was 11 points. And the MVP went to Farve right? No, it went to the guy that won the game for them, the kick returner! Farve's most amazing accomplishment is being an over-rated HOF'er. The interception record is a close second though.  ;)

Template:Tom Brady fan the MVP goes to the best player this season not America's sweetheart. Brady is killing Brett in just about every category this season and in Rock IV, the Russian would easily won if it went to decision

Favre wins MVP because everyone knew the Patriots were going to be good. They were picked by every single person on the planet to win the Super Bowl. The Packers weren't even expected to make the playoffs. Remember guys, it's the Most Valuable Player award, not the Player With the Best Stats award. Replace Brady with anyone and they're going to put up similar numbers.
