Bret Shugarts (J. Bret Shugarts) was born on February 17, 1960 in Du Bois, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Du Bois (PA), Shugarts attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Shugarts made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
