He is moving out of the Bay Area after his historic season as a San Francisco Giant. The team he has been with over a decade, and now he will leave the Giants after this year according to ESPN. Bonds broke Hank Aaron's HR record in August, and it left people wondering if he was going to retire after this year. Well he is apparently leaving San Fran, but it is unclear if he'll retire. Again, this is breaking news from ESPN, and they couldn't be happier.
In My opinion: I'm happy for him. The media scrutinizes him too much. You may say it's because he owns umpteen records, but that shouldn't matter. Jason Giambi, Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro, they all took steroids and they never got the same attention as he did. I love the way Barry handles the media like a total grouch, he is a Giants icon, but it will always be tainted because of the steroid scandal.
Barry Bonds has left the Bay Area.
