Approximately 7 out of 10 opinions have no business being celebrated as 'Good Stuff' when clearly they are crap. The REALLY good stuff gets lost amongst the trash that makes me want to poke my eyes out with a Red Sox fan's pointy little head! Then that horrific dung gets voted on by users who clearly create multiple logons and vote for their own putrid garbage and regurgitated opinions in an attempt to validate their existence.
Hmmm... maybe it's time to raise the standards a bit. Over 700 users, but it only takes 1% of the votes to get promoted to Good Stuff? Then again, sometimes it seems only 1% of the users actually know a damned thing about sports...
In other news, people use the +/- in the opinion columns to show their opinion instead of using +/- to acknowledge the information provided.
Intelligent Users don't give a flying (I'll use Derek Jeter as an asimile for the 'F' word) about the 'rankings' or whether people will give us a minus if they can't tolerate our comments... That's why we put the comments there!
Everyone here seems to write because they dream of being one of the bonehead journalists we all read when we're not in here, hoping to get noticed as some super-cyber-sports journalists. Well, we need to work together to make that happen. Bring the 'A' game, boys!!!
If ArmchairGM.com is going to "take it to the next level", let's put the effort in, people. Try harder, back your opinion up with coherent thought, research the info before you splurt it out and write with absolute passion! If we all put forth our best efforts, not only will ArmchairGM.com be better off for it (and attract better and more deserved attention) but all of us will be better off for it too!
"Build it and they will come"... well, I say "build it better and they will come running!"
