Brandon Claussen

Born on May 1, 1979 in Rapid City, South Dakota, Brandon Claussen (Brandon Allen Falker Claussen) played for the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Claussen broke into the bigs on June 28, 2003 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 6.14 ERA in 66 innings pitched in 2004, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Brandon Claussen's best season was 2005, when he posted a 4.21 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 121 batters.
In 1997, Claussen graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico. One year later, he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 34th round of the 1998 MLB amateur draft. In 1999, he graduated from Howard Junior College in Big Spring, Texas. He played in the Yankees' minor league system until June 28, 2003, when he made his major league debut, as he was brought up to the major league level for a brief stint. On July 31, 2003, he was traded to Cincinnati Reds with Charlie Manning and cash for Aaron Boone. On January 12, 2007 he signed a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals.
