Trade with WPG (Kliff Kingsbury) June 20, 2007

Brad Banks, born on April 22, 1980 in Belle Glade, Fla. was an outstanding college football quarterback at the University of Iowa and is now a member of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.

2006-2007:

2007:

He attended training camp with the Blue Bombers before being traded to the Alouettes for Kliff Kingsbury during the pre-season.

2006:

He was acquired in the second round (13th) by the Blue Bombers in the Renegades’ dispersal draft.

2004-2005:

He was Kerry Joseph’s backup in Ottawa.

He injured his calf muscle midway through the season.

College:

2001-2003:

Iowa Hawkeyes

In 2002 with Iowa, he completed 170 of 294 passes (57.8%) for 2573 yards with 26 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, finishing first in quarterback rating in Division I-A. He also ran 82 times for 435 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The team's only regular season loss in 2002 came against rival Iowa State, which cost them a possible trip to the Bowl Championship Series title game in the Fiesta Bowl. They finished in a tie for first place in the Big Ten Conference with eventual National Champion Ohio State.

Despite his collegiate accomplishments, Banks went undrafted in 2003. He signed with the Washington Redskins for a short period before being released. He then signed with the Ottawa Renegades of the CFL in 2004.
