Boras Drowning in Morass of Tears After Being Fired by Kenny Rogers
It was a sad day for Scott Boras after being fired by Kenny Rogers who will become his own agent. Rogers apparently wanted to return to Tigers while Boras seemed to be more intent on finding a better deal elsewhere so Rogers took over the reins and will do his own negotiating. He has been drowning in a morass of tears this week as he has seen millions of his agent's cuts go down the drain.
This was the second time this week Boras found himself on the outside looking in after Alex Rodriguez went to the Yankees seeking a contract that would pay far less money than what Boras was asking. His ultimatum to start negotiating with Yankees at $350 million mark turned off the Yankee brass and Rodriguez wanting to return to the Yankees took matters in his own hands to carve out a $275 million contract that is as of this minute still unsigned as Boras is looking over the contract before letting Rodriguez sign it.
Torre Uninformed on Dodgers Roster
I was very surprised the other day when Joe Torre said the Dodger's top priority was to get some pitching but since then after examining the Dodgers stats of 2007 he has conceded the offense is what needs improving. Fact is that the Dodgers were 15th in NL with 129 home runs only six more than the last place Nationals who had 123.
Jeff Kent led the team in home runs with 20 and Russell Martin led in RBI's with 87. Their names really pale when compared to the Rockies who had four players hit 24 or more home runs and had five players with 91 or more RBI's.
