Booker Edgerson (Booker Tyrone Edgerson) was born on July 5, 1939 in Baxter, Arkansas. After going to high school at Rock Island (IL), Edgerson attended Western Illinois University. Edgerson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1962 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Edgerson also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1968 was Booker Edgerson's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
