Born on December 26, 1895 in Jacksboro, Tennessee, Bonnie Hollingsworth (John Burnette Hollingsworth) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators, Brooklyn Robins and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career. Hollingsworth broke into the bigs on May 30, 1922 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.09 ERA in 72.2 innings pitched in 1923, his rookie year.
