Bonds is a JOKE

I’m sure everyone by now has heard about Barry Bonds new "reality" TV show, Bonds on Bonds (airs Tuesdays at 7:00 ET). I really do not get this man. I thought Bonds didn’t care what we thought of him? I mean, why is Bonds doing this show when he claims he doesn’t care what people think? In my opinion, this show is a total fake. One minute he’s saying, "I don’t give a fu** what they think!" and the next (Sobbing) "Baseball can take me down if they want, they’re so mean" blah blah blah. Grow up Barry! You don’t see Mark McGwire on Oprah explaining that he took steroids on accident do ya?

It would be a total disgrace to baseball if this guy were to pass Babe Ruth. In a perfect world, Bonds would follow what McGwire did and just walk away from baseball right now with his pride smashed in the dirt.

great phrasing "pride smashed in the dirt." I think most fans would like to smash Bonds in the face right now. Get a clue.

If Bonds passes Ruth, even though he'll simply be #2, it's a significant event. After all, he passed Babe frickin' Ruth.

I wonder, though, what kind of effect HR #715 will have on Bonds' Hall of Fame chances. Usually, more is better. But as Bonds' stats increase, so does the intensity of the flashing red light he sets off.

Exactly DNL. Babe Ruth does have a record, 715, and being a baseball fan myself I do not want to see a cheater pass a legend.

This is all very simple, it's all about cash. Bonds is getting paid nice chunk by ESPN for doing this show. Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Bonds is the ONLY athlete capable of generating this type of interest in what is inherently a stupid show. And here you guys are complaining about how much you despise the guy, etc. This completely proves the point...people are obsessed with Bonds. Contrary to the title of the posting, Bonds is NOT a joke. Rather, Bonds is the smartest man in sports, laughing all the way to the bank, and I respect that. He knows exactly what he is doing in all this. I just can't believe more people haven't figured out this act.
