Everybody is getting prediction happy because it's the first day of the season, and I am too. I have made in-depth previews of each division on my blog, The Sports Lounge. Here are my predictions for what's going to happen in the postseason. Criticize away, I love the discussion!
Here are the playoff positions for the AFC:
(1) New England Patriots, 12-4
(2) Indianpolis Colts, 12-4
(3) San Diego Chargers, 11-5
(4) Baltimore Ravens, 10-6
(5) Denver Broncos, 10-6
(6) Cincinnati Bengals, 9-7
Note: The Patriots (12-4) get the top seed over the Colts (12-4) because of a head to head win in Week 9; The Bengals (9-7) get #6 seed over Steelers (9-7) based on a better division record.
Here’s how the NFC stacks up:
(1) New Orleans Saints, 12-4
(2) Seattle Seahawks, 11-5
(3) Chicago Bears, 11-5
(4) Dallas Cowboys, 10-6
(5) Carolina Panthers, 10-6
(6) Philadelphia Eagles, 9-7
Note: The Seahawks (11-5) get the #2 seed over the Bears (11-5) because of a head to head win in Week 11.
