Born on May 11, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia, Bobby Witt (Robert Andrew Witt) played for the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, Florida Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 16 year career. Witt broke into the bigs on April 10, 1986 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 5.48 ERA in 157.2 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bobby Witt's best season was 1990, when he posted a 3.36 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 221 batters.
