Bobby Veach (Robert Hayes Veach) was born on June 29, 1888 in St. Charles, Kentucky. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1912 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .269 with 0 home runs and 64 RBI. Veach played for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators and New York Yankees over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Bobby Veach's best season was 1921, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .338 average and knocked in 128 runs.
