Bobby Richards (Robert Griffin Richards) was born on October 2, 1938 in Columbus, Mississippi. After going to high school at Oak Ridge (TN), Richards attended Louisiana State University. Richards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Bobby Richards's best year.
