Bobby Mattick (Robert James Mattick) was born on December 5, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on May 5, 1938 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 0 home runs and 23 RBI. Mattick played for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 5 year career.
