Bobby Luna (Robert Kendal Luna) was born on March 25, 1933 in Lewisbury, Tennessee. After going to high school at Hunstville (AL), Luna attended the University of Alabama. Luna made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1959 was Bobby Luna's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and had a 40.7 yard punt average.
