Bobby Knoop (Robert Frank Knoop) was born on October 18, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1964 for the Los Angeles Angels. In 1964, his rookie year, he hit .216 with 7 home runs and 38 RBI. Knoop played for the Los Angeles Angels, California Angels, Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Bobby Knoop's best season was 1966, when he slugged 17 home runs and knocked in 72 runs.
