Bobby Kielty (Robert Michael Kielty) was born on August 5, 1976 in Fontana, California. He made his Major League debut on April 10, 2001 for the Minnesota Twins. In 2002, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 12 home runs and 46 RBI. Kielty played for the Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Bobby Kielty's best season was 2003, when he knocked in 57 runs.

  • In the 2005 season, Kielty, along with other members of the team, grew out his hair and refused to cut it. He earned the nickname "Ronny Mac" due to his similarity to McDonalds mascot, Ronald McDonald.
  • On October 28, Kielty hit a pinch-hit solo home run in Game 4 of the 2007 World Series, which turned out to be the series-clinching game winner in the 4-3 final over the Colorado Rockies.
    • He is the 21st player to hit a pinch-hit home run in the World Series.
