Born on April 5, 1921 in Miami, Florida, Bobby Hogue (Robert Clinton Hogue) played for the Boston Braves, St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees over the course of his 5 year career. Hogue broke into the bigs on April 24, 1948 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 3.23 ERA in 86.1 innings pitched in 1948, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bobby Hogue's best season was 1948, when he posted a 3.23 ERA.
