Bobby Grich (Robert Anthony Grich) was born on January 15, 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on June 29, 1970 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .278 with 12 home runs and 50 RBI. Grich played for the Baltimore Orioles and California Angels over the course of his 17 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Bobby Grich's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1979, when he slugged 30 home runs, hit for a .294 average and knocked in 101 runs. However, others believe that it was 1974, when he slugged 19 home runs and knocked in 82 runs.
