Bobby Franklin (Bobby Ray Franklin) was born on October 5, 1936 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. After going to high school at Clarksdale (MS), Franklin attended the University of Mississippi. Franklin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Bobby Franklin's best year, as he picked off 8 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
