Bobby Estalella (Roberto (Ventoza) Estalella) was born on April 25, 1911 in Cardenas, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on September 7, 1935 for the Washington Senators. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .275 with 8 home runs and 41 RBI. Estalella played for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 8 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Bobby Estalella's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1942, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 65 runs. However, others believe that it was 1944, when he hit for a .298 average and knocked in 60 runs.
