Bobby Bonds (Bobby Lee Bonds) was born on March 15, 1946 in Riverside, California. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1968 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1968, his rookie year, he hit .254 with 9 home runs and 35 RBI. Bonds played for the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, California Angels, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Bobby Bonds's best season was 1973, when he slugged 39 home runs, stole 43 bases, hit for a .283 average and knocked in 96 runs.
