Born on July 8, 1969 in Ventura, California, Bobby Ayala (Robert Joseph Ayala) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 8 year career. Ayala broke into the bigs on September 5, 1992 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 5.60 ERA in 98 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bobby Ayala's best season was 1994, when he posted a 2.86 ERA, notched 18 saves and struck out 76 batters.
