Failed to allow a "back-to-back" jinx be thrown upon him as he tied for third nationally in interceptions per game (0.55) with six INTs on the year • Led the team in tackles with 75, including 43 solo stops • Selected to the Sheridan Black College Football All-America Tam • Saw action in all 11 games for the `Cats, as well as making his way into the starting rotation in all of those games • Made his way into the offensive backfield twice for stops, including a loss of two yards total • Broke-up two passes on the campaign • Recovered one fumble against North Carolina A&T in a nationally-televised contest at Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach • Picked off two passes against South Carolina State in the Low Country Classic in Charleston, S.C. Came back to tie his own record from 2005 with three (3) INTs versus Norfolk State the week after • Led the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) in interceptions on the year • Registered his only double-digit tackles performance of the year against Howard with 10 stops (six solo) • Had nine tackles in games against Winston-Salem State on Homecoming in Daytona Beach, as well as against Florida A&M in the Walt Disney Florida Classic in Orlando, Fla. • Collected the first interception of the year in a game at home against Savannah State • Blocked one extra-point attempt against Delaware State in one of the most thrilling contests at Municipal Stadium in recent years • Recorded eight tackles at Hampton in a nationally-televised Thursday night game on ESPNU • Picked up five solo and three assisted stops in that game against Hampton • Posted season-high solo tackles against both Delaware State and Howard with six each. 2005 Season During his sophomore campaign, Williams accomplished every single-game best while playing in all but one contest • Played in 10-of-11 games for the Wildcats as a free safety, including making the start in nine of those contests • Grabbed in a team-leading six interceptions, while collecting 80 yards in returns off picks • Named to the All-MEAC First Team defensive backfield • Tied for third in the nation for interceptions (0.60), while leading the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in that category • Had a career-high 39 yards on an interception return against Savannah State in the 13th Annual CSRA Classic in Augusta, Ga. • Finished the year fourth on the squad in total tackles with 52 to his credit • Tallied 30 primary and 22 assisted tackles on the season, including entering the opposing backfield for 1.5 tackles for losses of 12 yards. Finished third on the team in tackles against Norfolk State, but led the squad with 10 solo stops • Second on the team in pass deflections (7) • Had a career-high 13 tackles against Norfolk State, including the game-winning tackle in the fourth overtime session • Totaled double-digits tackles against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 10, including seven assisted stops • Had a great game against Savannah State with three primary tackles, one pass breakup and one interception for a return of 39 yards • Collected seven tackles (four solo) against South Carolina State in the 51st Annual Gateway Classic at Jacksonville's Alltel Stadium • Tied himself for third all-time in the B-CC record books for single-game interceptions with three in the season-opener against Elizabeth City State • Performed well with six stops (four primary) against the Vikings, as well as two breakups. 2004 Season Was one of a handful of red shirt freshman to start for the Wildcats on defense, not to mention the defensive backfield--a position Bethune-Cookman head coach Alvin B. Wyatt, Sr. takes very serious • Completed the season ranked second on the Wildcats defense in total tackles with 58 on the campaign, including 26 primary and 38 assists • Collected 3.5 tackles for losses of 11 yards • Entered the opposing backfield for two quarterback sacks for a loss of nine yards combined • Grabbed in one interception with a return of 15 yards, as well as one pass deflection on the year • Had two (2) games with double-digit tackles • Had a season-high 11 tackles (four solo / seven assists) at home against Howard. Also picked up 1.5 tackles for loss of one yard against the Bison at Municipal Stadium • Tallied 10 total tackles (three solo / seven assists) against Delaware State • Collected yet another tackle for loss against the Hornets • Had his lone interception of the year against Norfolk State where he also served up five tackles (all primary stops) on the day, including one of his two quarterback sacks on the year • The other sack came against Howard • Picked up five tackles against Florida A&M in the 25th Annual Walt Disney Florida Classic. 2003 Season Williams red shirted in his first season at Bethune-Cookman. High School Williams helped Miami Norland Senior to a nice record of 13-2 in 2002 • Helped the Vikings in winning the Division 6-A (AAAAAA) State Championship under head coach Nigel Dunn • Tabbed as a First Team All-State selection in 2002 • Recorded the longest interception return in school history as a senior with a 100-yard return--unofficially 108 yards • Posted nine (9) interceptions as a freshman with the Vikings program with two returns for touchdown • Collected 116 tackles and five interceptions (two for touchdown), including the game-winning score during his senior year • Also made official visits to the University of Florida and Michigan State before arriving at Bethune-Cookman University. Personal Bobbie Williams was born to the world as Bobbie Williams, Jr. on December 20, 1984 in his hometown of Miami, Fla. • He is the son of Melvina and Bobbie Williams, Sr. • Currently working towards a degree in Physical Education • Came to B-CU because of the solid football program • Wants to break all records held by a defensive back at B-CU before leaving • Lists his other hobbies as playing basketball and running track • Says his dad is the biggest athletic influence in his life because he has always been there for him, no matter what.
