Bob Winkel (Robert A. Winkel) was born on October 23, 1955 in Paducah, Kentucky. After going to high school at Oak Ridge (TN), Winkel attended the University of Kentucky. Winkel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 2 year career.
