Born on November 26, 1956 in Van Nuys, California, Bob Walk (Robert Vernon Walk) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 14 year career. Walk broke into the bigs on May 26, 1980 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 4.57 ERA in 151.2 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bob Walk's best season was 1988, when he posted a 2.71 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 81 batters.
