Bob Steuber (Robert J. Steuber) was born on October 25, 1921 in Wenonah, New Jersey. After going to high school at Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO), Steuber attended Depauw University and the University of Missouri. Steuber made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time. Steuber also played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Dons and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 3 year AAFC career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Bob Steuber's best year.
