Bob Simmons (Robert Gatling Simmons) was born on July 7, 1954 in Temple, Texas. After going to high school at Temple (TX), Simmons attended the University of Texas. Simmons made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 7 year career.
