Born on November 27, 1923 in Louisville, Kentucky, Bob Schultz (Robert Duffy Schultz) played for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 4 year career. Schultz broke into the bigs on April 20, 1951 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 5.24 ERA in 77.1 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.
