Bob Robertson (Robert Eugene Robertson) was born on October 2, 1946 in Frostburg, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1967 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 27 home runs and 82 RBI. Robertson played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Bob Robertson's best season was 1970, when he slugged 27 home runs, hit for a .287 average and knocked in 82 runs.

  • Bob has the distinction of being the first player to hit a home run into the left field upper deck at Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium. That home run was hit off of San Diego Padres pitcher Steve Arlin on July 16, 1971.
