Bob Pylman (Robert William Pylman) was born on November 30, 1913 in Ellendale, North Dakota. After going to high school at Gettysburg (SD), Pylman attended South Dakota State University. Pylman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1938 was Bob Pylman's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
